High-Efficiency PVC Drift Eliminator for Cooling Towers

Overview
Drift eliminators from VOLGA HVAC® are engineered to reduce water loss and airborne emissions in all types of cooling towers. Positioned above the fill media and water distribution system, these eliminators capture and redirect water droplets carried by the airstream, minimizing drift loss and improving operational efficiency.

Function
Installed as a final air treatment layer inside the cooling tower, drift eliminators help reduce water loss by trapping water droplets and redirecting them back into the cooling water circuit. This ensures optimal water conservation and prevents mist escape from the tower exhaust.

Performance Guidance

• Tested in accordance with CTI ATC-140 (Isokinetic Drift Test Code)

• Typical drift loss performance: ≤ 0.001% of circulating water volume (based on 20 m³/m²·h rain density and ~3 m/s air velocity)

• Requires proper sealing to housing, walls, and joints for optimal performance

• Face velocity must not exceed design limits for accurate drift reduction
